Maps  In  Minutes

Due for release in September by Cornwall based RH Publications, the 1997 update of The British Isles in the MAPS IN MINUTES™ series contains highly detailed maps of the UK in Adobe Illustrator format. Presented at four scales, from 1:750,000 to 1:5,000,000, the maps are sourced from the Automobile Association, Planetary Visions, the Meteorological Office and Admiralty charts.
There are four CD-ROM editions, from Economy, priced at £99 + VAT to the Deluxe Full Edition (£550 + VAT), which includes land and sea digital terrain accurately coloured and shaded by height with a degree of flexibility not available with non-digital sources such as sculpted globes.
Users who speak highly of the Maps  In  Minutes range include the AA, whose chief cartographer describes it as a ''Rolls Royce'', Ian Agnew of the Geography Department, University of Cambridge, who considers the series to be an ''invaluable asset with customary flair...unrivalled''.
