 | Never say CG again Maps and effects for 'Bond 18' (Photos © 1997 Danjaq, LLC and United Artists Corp. all rights reserved.) | | There are girls, explosions, car chases, girls, and men failing off railings -just as a Bond film should have. Like every modern film, hours of post-production work is added before it hits the streets. But being British, the 'effects' are that little bit more subtle - all the explosions and stunt men are real, it's the more mundane things that needed attention. Post-production company Rushes, who brought Steve McQueen back to life in the Ford Puma ad, were responsible for tidying up so you can't see the joins. Another British company was chosen for inclusion in the film. This time MAPS IN MINUTES provided GeoPolitical maps for Bond's HQ and the baddie Elliot Carver's Stealth Boat. We'll be reviewing these maps in later issues of Computer Arts.
