As he bids to rescue mankind once more, suave superspy James Bond has called on the Mac's services for help of a most unexpected kind. In the latest Bond outing, Tomorrow Never Dies, you'll often see control banks of computers displayng sophisticated map graphics as the action unfolds worldwide. But how did design team Eon productions achieve the state-of-the-art look vital for persuading movie audiences of the operations centre's far reaching powers? The answer lies with RH publications' MAPS IN MINUTES, a CD-ROM based range of titles containing maps from around the world which you can open and edit in drawing programs such as Freehand and Illustrator. Eon was able to use the maps in discs such as World GeoPolitical to create the stylised graphics you see in the film. The MAPS IN MINUTES discs provide files including coastlines, borders and cities all of which is essential information for covert global organisations.
